Content Strategist (Full-time)

Yeager will consider candidates that wish to work remotely with occasional visits to the home office (Phoenix, AZ). Local candidates only.

The Content Strategist creates content that resonates across all channels and mediums while aligning to the strategic direction of Yeager clients. This person is responsible for managing and evolving the tone, messaging, and consistency of client and internal marketing materials across the company. Leveraging their experience and talent, along with their own research and client-provided information, the Content Strategist is able to create compelling, results-driven copy. This position works with clients and other members of the Yeager team collaboratively to bring thoughtful content that fits into the overall creative vision. They have a background in writing, a strong knowledge of technology and an unrelenting creative nature. The Content Strategist is able to think creatively as well as strategically and is a skilled crafter of words that is able to write for multiple clients / mediums.

Your days will be filled doing interesting, fulfilling work including:

  • Plan, write and edit content; ensures it is clear, compelling and properly distributed across web, mobile and social platforms while adhering to our clients’ brands.
  • Use data, research and deep understanding of the client to shape the narrative and create content experiences tailored to target audiences.
  • Produce excellent creative and effective work for clients including persuasive messages and compelling stories that inform, entertain, inspire and engage.
  • Manage writing contractors / edit content created by others (internally and externally) as required.
  • Conduct necessary market, product, competitive and other research to inform content.
  • Implement keyword research and analysis as needed and utilize latest SEO practices within web content.
  • Work with creative resources to develop clear and compelling conceptual solutions based on a deep understanding of client services and target audiences.
  • Produce thought leadership content for Yeager utilizing internal and external SMEs.

Yeager Writers need a wide range of experience and skills such as:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree in journalism, creative writing or other related area with an emphasis on writing; and/or combined 5 years of on the job experience in a copywriting role.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in writing marketing copy for information technology buyers.
  • Experience writing for agencies – either as a contractor or employee.
  • Demonstrated success producing consistent thought leadership.
  • Experience managing contract writers.
  • Understanding of B2B marketing and the various mediums and channels to produce content for campaigns that may include print, video, social, digital marketing, email, promotions and events.
  • Experience producing consistent thought leadership via an agency or corporate setting.
  • Experience collaborating with creative and marketing roles.
  • Ability to manage and direct contract writers.
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous proofreader.
  • Comfortable with working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to write for a range of needs including attention-grabbing short form to semi-technical white papers.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Keynote programs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability; able to problem-solve in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Effectively cope with change and multitasking and to switch direction rapidly as priorities change.

Business Development Manager (full-time)

Compensation: $40,000 – $50,000 base annual salary + commission (up to $50K)

This position has an anticipated start date of January 5, 2021 due to the length of the recruiting process, holiday closures and expectations for this role.

This position is a remote position until further notice, but candidate must be local.

The Business Development Manager will lead new business development activities, including contact identification, social selling, outbound calls, and introductory meetings for the company. Your objective is to 1) make targeted prospects aware of Yeager and our value proposition, 2) identify sales opportunities, 3) work with our team to scope opportunities, and 4) close new business. The ideal candidate will be an expert in B2B sales/business development and have a proven track record of delivering results.

Your days will be filled with many learning opportunities such as:

  • Develop initial relationships and initiate sales opportunities with marketing managers, directors and vice presidents at technology companies including the Fortune 500 and their channel partners
  • Manage qualified opportunities from initial engagement through each stage of the sales process to a closed sale.
  • Lead prospect discussions to discover, understand needs and requirements, and work with our strategy team to recommend corresponding marketing solutions.
  • Work with our strategy team to develop proposals that outline a scope of work
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of multiple prospects and opportunities, tracking progress and forecasts.
  • Leverage digital marketing, social media, referrals, and other sources and activities to prospect for new clients.
  • Create introductions and business opportunities for the executive team.
  • Collaborate with internal team to improve upon new business processes from an organizational perspective including knowledge sharing system to help increase efficiency in agency RFI/RFP responses
  • Update leads and prospect interaction in HubSpot CRM
