Renee Yeager

Founder, CEO

What do you do for Yeager?

I set and guide the direction for our growing agency, develop new client relationships, and work with our clients on strategy and planning.

What do you like most about what you do?

I love working with our clients to figure out creative and innovative ways to solve their marketing and business challenges. Our shared success is what drives me.

Talk about one of your favorite projects.

My favorite projects are long-term campaigns. As someone who spent many years in marketing roles at corporations, I find holistic campaigns uniquely satisfying. One in particular was helping a large supplier build a channel program from scratch. We worked on everything from the go-to-market strategy, messaging, partner recruitment and enablement, demand generation campaigns, and lead nurture programs. We achieved fantastic results for our client and won numerous awards for the work.

What is the last book you read and did you like it?

The Radical Leap by Steve Farber. I’m always looking to personally improve and add more value to Yeager. This book inspired my view on culture, teams and leadership.

What inspires you?

Beautiful storytelling. Great art. Spending time in nature. My sons. Profoundly intelligent people. Conversations about things that matter. New opportunities and challenges.

Mark Yeager

President

What do you do for Yeager?

My primary role is to provide direction for our incredible team of imaginative, knowledgeable, and resourceful experts that empowers them to develop next-generation solutions to complex marketing challenges.

What do you like most about what you do?

I love when our team gets to deliver solutions that were previously thought to be unattainable. It happens when we brainstorm together with clients to conceive improbable but game-changing strategies and then work through the obstacles with brilliant tactical execution. The reaction we get from clients when we help them breakthrough a persistent barrier is priceless.

What inspires you?

Helping people reach new potentials. All of us have more in the tank than we think and I love it when individuals or groups can reach or surpass goals when they face adversity or seemingly impossible odds.

Jennifer Ferry

Operations Director

What do you do for Yeager?

Guide the day-to-day financial and business operations by developing and implementing strategic plans to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

What do you like most about what you do?

I like that what I do directly affects the client and Yeager team experience. I am able contribute to client projects and internal processes that help bring great outcomes. Part of that is relaying the client’s vision clearly and correctly to our team. I also develop internal processes that help things run smoothly.

Talk about one of your favorite projects.

We bid a rebrand project for a product that we were very familiar with. We initially did not get the project but they did select one of our concepts. After a short period of time we were pulled back in to consult and eventually did receive all of the project work. I really loved this because even though we didn’t get the project initially, we did eventually because of our good work, reputation and willingness to meet the client’s needs on their terms.

What inspires you?

Anything that requires me to be creative and to help solve problems. I’m a fixer by nature so I am always inspired to bring creative solutions to complex challenges.

Stephanie LeVar

Senior Project Manager

What do you do for Yeager?

Feed Chel corndogs and manage client projects.

What do you like most about what you do?

Being a PM is like conducting an orchestra. When you have so many parts moving at once it is a fantastic feeling when everything is in sync.

Talk about one of your favorite projects.

My first Virtual Reality project is my favorite so far. The user experience and how it relates differently in VR was so intriguing. When you fully submerge someone into a different reality it truly is limitless.

What is the last book you read (or listened to) and did you like it?

I’ve started a few, but I always fall asleep a couple pages in. ☹

What inspires you?

I’m inspired by projects that push our boundaries. Learning at Yeager as we grow together inspires me daily.

Chelsea Varilla

Project Manager

What do you do for Yeager?

I manage projects from start to finish to ensure requirements are met, timelines are enforced and the clients are satisfied with the end product or outcome.

What do you like most about what you do?

I like the organization that my job requires. I’ve always been a list maker and it’s satisfying for me to start the day with a long list of to-do’s and end it with everything checked off.

Talk about one of your favorite projects.

There was a website project that had a large amount of resource documents that needed to be distributed on several pages throughout the website. The documents had similar names and were labeled differently in the design files than they were in the reference document. Our lead developer was going crazy trying to figure it out until I stepped in to help him figure out the correct distribution. We went crazy together for a little while, but we figured it out and it ended up being a great bonding experience. Now we’re best friends and we do Spartan Races together. We ended up meeting the tight project deadline and had the website live for the annual client event. The best part though? All the resources were correct.

What is the last book you read (or listened to) and did you like it?

Wall and Piece. I’m a big Banksy fan and this book was a great compilation of his best work and gave insight into his techniques and inspirations.

What inspires you?

My parents. Every day they do something new, kind or remarkable that inspires me to be the best version of myself.

What is the last book you read (or listened to) and did you like it?

When Pride Still Mattered: A Life of Vince Lombardi by David Maraniss While Lombardi’s methods to achieve success may not have worked as well with today’s players, his “winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing” mentality applies well when dealing with life’s trials and tribulations.

What inspires you?

Watching how people who battle adversity fight to overcome struggles while maintaining their constant appreciation of life.

What inspires you?

Traveling, being outdoors, and good conversation.

Alex Linderman

Account Strategist

What do you do for Yeager?

In my position I wear a lot of hats. I’m a relationship consultant, a researcher, a teacher, a task manager, an interpreter, and sometimes a crisis consultant. I love every minute of it.

What do you like most about what you do?

I’m passionate about turning the uninspired into the enthralled. About making passive, jaded, uninterested people totally engrossed in an experience. About turning a stranger into a customer. How do I do it? By engaging people with strategy in a creative and unexpected way. By building community around brand principles, and by encouraging customers to play, share and remix elements of your message until they become advocates for your brand instead of observers of your advertising.

Talk about one of your favorite projects.

There are too many to choose from but one thing they all have in common is their successes. It’s a tremendous feeling guiding a client through a marketing obstacle course and having them emerge a winner.

What is the last book you read and did you like it?

DI recently read The Watchmen for the second time. This Hugo Award-winning graphic novel is recognized in Time's List of the 100 Best Novels as one of the best English language novels published since 1923.

What inspires you?

A lot of things motivate me but I’m most inspired by other people achieving great things. Seeing others accomplish unbelievable tasks is a strong motivator for me. Nothing is impossible with the right mindset in place.

Brynn Williams

Account Strategist

What do you do for Yeager?

I oversee the strategic direction of projects with the goal of achieving the very best results for our clients.

What do you like most about what you do?

I love the collaboration and strong sense of team we have internally and with our clients along with the opportunity to provide ideas and contribute to successful, impressive and creative results.

What is the last book you read and did you like it?

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I really liked it. The premise of the story is about finding your personal destiny and the journey you take to get there. My daughter recommended it to me when I truly needed a good book with a positive message.

What inspires you?

Family, friends and helping others. Seeing random acts of kindness. Sometimes, just a good movie!

Michael Bjella

Art Director

What do you do for Yeager?

I create, manage and present visual styles, design plans, guidelines, videos and more for our clients.

What do you like most about what you do?

I really enjoy the conceptual stage of each project, the brainstorming and the sketching, thinking of all the possibilities.

What is the last book you read and did you like it?

I’m currently reading Magicians of the Gods by Graham Hancock. I really enjoy his take on ancient civilization. He seems to me like a real-world version of Indiana Jones, putting together artifacts left by people who lived over 12 thousand years ago!

What inspires you?

Music inspires me. On the dorkier side I’ve been very inspired by well-put-together brand standards documents.

Heather Morton

Graphic Designer

What do you do for Yeager?

I work on the visual applications of marketing campaigns.

What do you like most about what you do?

The most rewarding part of my job is starting with a spark of an idea and watching it come to life visually.

Talk about one of your favorite projects.

My favorite project involved working with Legos (my childhood self would be so jealous). We created a kit that allowed the end user to build the product and add custom stickers. It was such a fun, interactive project that took something very technical and turned it into a toy.

What is the last book you read and did you like it?

The last book I read was Yes Please by Amy Poehler. I really enjoyed learning about different parts of her life and career. If you’re reading this Amy, I’d love to meet you.

What inspires you?

I get inspiration all around. Sometimes inspiration hits you in the middle of the night and sometimes you dig and dig to find what you need.

Jeremy Smeltzer

Senior Web Developer

What do you do for Yeager?

Perform amazing feats of programming in condensed timeframes. (build websites and emails and stuff)

What do you like most about what you do?

Bringing joy and happiness to the lives of others.

Talk about one of your favorite projects.

This project had about 100 technical documents on like 20 pages… maybe it was more like 20 documents on 7 pages. Some of them had similar names and they were labeled differently in the Photoshop document than they were in the Excel file. I was going crazy trying to figure it out until a PM stepped in to lend a helping hand. We went crazy together for a little while but we figured it out and it ended up being a great bonding experience and now we’re great friends and we do Spartan Races together. I also built some cool resource management functionality that simplifies managing and displaying documents on the site.

What is the last book you read and did you like it?

Facebook – It was great, I found out it was National Smile Day.

What inspires you?

Seeing the results of hard work, discipline and dedication.

Kris Tassoni

Content Director

What do you do for Yeager?

I oversee all the content we create for our clients, making sure everything aligns with their goals for each project, their audience and their brand.

What do you like most about what you do?

I love it when clients are dazzled by something we’ve created for them – when they just know that what we’ve delivered is going to bring the results they were looking for, and then it does. It’s great to hear the excitement in their voices.

Talk about one of your favorite projects.

We did a campaign for a brand new, very large client. The campaign had a lot of moving parts and required some major creativity and new thinking, teamwork and amazing timing. Start to finish it was pretty incredible and we were all very proud of it. The client loved it too, and they’ve been with us ever since.

What is the last book you read and did you like it?

Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon. This is part 2 of a series about a British woman who time travels back to the 1700s in the Scottish Highlands. It’s good for forgetting everything and getting lost for a few minutes before I go to sleep.

What inspires you?

Books that make me forget the time, a killer screenplay, people that have everything or nothing and spend their life helping others, people that overcome huge obstacles to accomplish something they find important.

Steve Solomon

Content Manager

What do you do for Yeager?

I utilize my varied writing background to create content for the agency’s prestigious collection of technology clients. The challenge is to stay on top of the entire tech universe, especially data storage, virtualization, networking, and cloud computing.

What do you like most about what you do?

It starts with the creative process—especially how it relates to the ever-changing technology arena. I especially enjoy collaborating with the highly talented Yeager team members to offer creative solutions that surpass the clients’ expectations.

Talk about one of your favorite projects.

All projects are equal at the start—but my favorites are the ones that require the greatest effort to achieve success. Knowing where I started and where I’ve taken the project gives me a real sense of accomplishment.

What is the last book you read and did you like it?

My last book is also one of the longest I’ve ever read—Edge of Eternity by Ken Follett. This 1100 page novel focuses on four extended families, English, German, Russian and American, and how their fates are interlinked with major worldwide historical events from the Cold War to the fall of the Berlin Wall. And yes, I liked it very much.

What inspires you?

People who overcome adversity or disabilities.

Shanan Winters

Senior Copywriter, Content Geek

What do you do for Yeager?

I leverage my 20 years of software development experience to create compelling content for leading technology companies.

What do you like most about what you do?

I love researching—including working directly with clients, reading existing materials, and using products directly—in order to form a deep understanding of the subject matter. The knowledge I gather becomes critical to my content creation process.

What is the last book you read and did you like it?

I live by books. I read them; I write them. I always have a handful of books that I’m actively reading and a backlog of several others waiting to be read. One of my favorites that I recently finished was titled Grave Measures. It’s part of the Grave Reports urban fantasy series, which has a seriously amazing and original premise.

What inspires you?

Working in a team of positive people who love what they do! The energy of people working together, and the feeling of mutual accomplishment and shared success is what gets me out of bed every morning. Nothing great is created in a vacuum, and all ideas are best when shared!

Sophie Sparer

Marketing Assistant

What do you do for Yeager?

I help the team with projects, including event coordination, finding specialty items, assembling mailers, and more.

What do you like most about what you do?

Assembling projects

Talk about one of your favorite projects.

We did a promotion that involved mailing these tiny lockers with a really nice pullover inside. I liked putting them together and making it look amazing.

What is the last book you read and did you like it?

Deadeye Dick by Kurt Vonnegut. Not my favorite of his but still a great read.

What inspires you?

The knowledge that nothing will change unless I want it to and doing something about it.
